Top FAQ's

What is a throw?

A throw is a blanket that can be placed around the home. It is thinner than a duvet and made from comfortable materials such as 100% cotton. At Homescapes, throws can come in a variety of different sizes to suit you.

Why would you need a throw?

A throw has many purposes. From keeping you warm on the sofa on an evening, or adding an extra blanket to the bedroom, it also has many functions in terms of interior design. It’s a great way to add a pop of colour to your bedroom or living area, and can often be used to add comfort and texture to the home.

How to care for a throw? Are your throws machine washable?

Each individual throw will have its own care instructions, dictating if it’s machine washable or spot clean only. Please check your label or the item page accordingly, as it will vary.

Are throws warm?

Yes. Homescapes throws have been expertly woven to keep you comfortable and warm. On average, a throw will have a tog of between two and four, depending on the blanket being purchased.

Are throws good for both winter and summer?

Throws are ideal for keeping the chill away in the colder months, or for replacing your duvet in summer. Throws, essentially, can be used all year round.

How do you arrange a bed throw?

There are many ways to arrange a throw for the bedroom. The most traditional way is to place the throw across the end of the bed, so that it overhangs at the base, while covering the entire width of the mattress.

Alternatively, you can spread-out the whole throw on top of the bed, create a layered look with multiple throws or even leave it simply folded at the bottom corner, ready for use.
