What are fitted bed sheets?
Homescapes’ fitted bed sheets are rectangular, fully-elasticated sheets designed to fit over your mattress. The elastic allows the sheet to lock into place around your mattress, and will stay in place all throughout the night. A fitted sheet provides a comfortable, soft surface for you to rest upon while protecting the mattress.
What thread count is best for fitted sheets?
It is recommended to have at least a 200 thread count for sheets. Homescapes offer fitted sheets with a thread count of 200, 330, 400 and 1000.
All of Homescapes cotton 200 thread count sheets have been commissioned by using single ply finely combed pure cotton yarns. These provide a higher density fresh and crisp percale than you would normally expect of 200 thread count. Woven with single ply yarns, even though the fitted sheet has 200 threads per square inch of weaving, the resultant fabric is far superior than most multiply yarn fabrics. This gives our 200 thread count sheets the alleged feel and comfort of a 400 thread count.
How deep are your fitted sheets?
Homescapes offer deep fitted sheets. Our fitted sheets either have a depth of 12 inches (30cm) or 18 inches (46cm). To see the depth of your fitted sheet, you can check the item page description, or the ‘Product Specifications’ tab.
What purpose do fitted sheets serve?
A fitted sheet provides a comfortable, soft surface for you to rest upon while protecting the mattress. They’re also considered to be the better alternative to non-elasticated sheets, as they stay in place throughout the night.
How do I care for a fitted sheet?
Homescapes fitted sheets are machine washable. The temperature all of our fitted sheets can be washed at is up to 40 degrees. While the cotton sheets are tumble-dryer friendly, we recommend drying our linen sheets flat.
Sheets should be washed at least once a week. Because of this, we recommend there are three sheets per bed – one in the wash, one being used and one ready to be used.
