Reading Cushion Guide

Since we introduced reading cushions to our online store, a few questions seem to have been asked. So, we’re here to help clear a few things up, including how to use your new reading cushion.

What are reading cushions and how do you use them?

At first glance, reading cushions can appear odd. The shape isn’t one easily recognised, and depending on the size you get, there can even be an additional headrest included.

So, we got a model in to display the optimum way to use this generously filled memory foam lumbar support cushion.

1. Once your vacuum-packed cushion arrives, open it up and leave for 24-48 hours prior to first use. This allows the shredded memory foam inside to fully expand.
2. Once ready, place the cushion on a surface, such as the floor or on your bed.
3. Sit yourself between the ‘legs’ of the pillow, with your back and neck supported by the memory foam and (optional) headrest.

You’ll now be able to sit and read your book, or even watch television in comfort. Each reading pillow contains pockets, making a convenient place to put your phone, remote or book.

Each pillow has a handle attached to make transporting and manoeuvring the pillow an easy task.

Please note: for the best spine support, it is recommended that only one person uses each reading cushion. This allows the memory foam to morph to the support your back needs, and tailor your comfort accordingly.

What else is a Reading Cushion known as?

While reading cushions are relatively new to the homeware scene, it already has a few nicknames under its belt. This includes:

• Husband Pillow – Nicknamed the ‘husband pillow’ for its shape and stature. The arms/legs of the cushion are said to mimic the embrace of a partner, giving it the name.
