Top FAQ's

What is the best duvet?

For the best, most luxurious experience, our feather and down duvets are the ideal choice. Used for generations to keep us warm, we’ve combined this filling with a breathable 100% cotton in a variety of togs and sizes. Now you can use a feather duvet in every season, with our expertly woven quilted design to keep the filling where it should be and provide an even coverage. The cotton casing is the final piece to these premium duvets, as they’re great for wicking away sweat in summer and keeping you cosy in winter.

What duvet do hotels use?

Hotels are well known for their use of naturally filled duvets, usually encased in anti-dust mite cotton. These natural fillings could be feather, down, wool or even a combination. The most commonly used tog in a hotel is 10.5, allowing guests to feel comfortable as well as providing the hotel with that ideal look.

Our naturally filled duvets are best paired with our range of classic white 100% cotton duvet bed sets.

How often should you replace your duvet?

On average, a good duvet can last anywhere between 2 and 5 years. A duvets life can be extended with the use of our machine-washable duvet protector, though we recommend changing your duvet at least once every 6 years, even with a protector in place.

Can I wash my duvet?

It is recommended that you wash your duvets at least once a year to keep your bed clean and fresh. All Homescapes duvets are washing machine and tumble dryer friendly – just follow the instruction label on your duvet for care assistance.

What is the best duvet for allergies?

All Homescapes duvets are encased in anti-dust mite cotton or organic cotton. This provides a natural barrier for those with dust allergies.

However, if you’re allergic to animal feathers or wool, you may wish to consider our super microfibre range for a synthetic, hotel quality down-like experience, and none of the allergies.
